For books that are DRM enabled (copy-protected): You need to download the book to your computer first, and then use Adobe Digital Edition to transfer the file onto the device. You can use Adobe Digital Editions to add EPUB and PDF books to your E-Reader, as well as books that are protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). To add an EPUB or PDF book to your E-Reader: 1. Connect your E-Reader to your computer using the included USB cable. 2. Go to the folder where your eBook is saved. 3. Right-click the book file and click Open With. 4. Click Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe Digital Editions should start automatically, add the book to its library, and open the book. 5. In Adobe Digital Editions, click the Library icon. 6. Select your new book and drag it to the Hipstreet E-Reader bookshelf (listed on the left side under Bookshelves). To add a DRM book to your E-Reader: 1. Connect your E-Reader to your computer using the included USB cable. 2. Go to the folder where you downloaded your book's .acsm file. 3. Double-click the .acsm file. Adobe Digital Editions should launch and automatically download your book and open it. 4. In Adobe Digital Editions: 5. Click the library icon in the upper left of the window. 6. Drag your new book to the Hipstreet E-Reader Bookshelf Note: Books that are protected by DRM have an .acsm file extension. This is a license for your book. You must be connected to the Internet when you open this file so that Adobe Digital Editions can verify the license and download the rest of the book. 1. Press the Bluetooth button on the keyboard. The Bluetooth LED should start blinking. 2. On your tablet, turn on Bluetooth and select the option to search for new Bluetooth devices nearby. 3. Your tablet will display all Bluetooth devices found. Select the Bluetooth keyboard to pair. 4. A message will display on your tablet with the pass code or PIN. 5. Type the PIN code using the Bluetooth keyboard and then press ENTER to complete the pairing process. NOTE: Each pass code is randomly generated. Make sure you enter the one shown on your device's screen. If you experience issue with the Bluetooth function on your tablet, you need to contact the support team for your tablet.
Apps are available in SlideME Marketplace. This App is preinstalled on your Nova tablet. Simply tap Slide Sam 4.1 from the App screen to launch it.
Please follow these steps to connect the Nova to your computer : 1. Turn the Nova on with the MircoSD card inserted. 2. Connect one end of the USB cable to USB1 on the Nova, and the other end to your PC. 3. Tap "Turn on USB storage" on the Nova to initiate mass storage mode for your system to detect it.
Please open My Computer (or Computer) and verify if the "Removable Disk" is present (and accessible). You will see it if your computer recognized the device. If the "Removable Disk" is not available, you can try these suggestions: 1. Turn off your antivirus and then connect the device to your computer. 2. Run Windows Update on your PC to look for update or fix that may correct this issue. 3. Connect the device to another computer and see if the system will recognize it. 4. Reboot the computer with the device plugged in if necessary.
You can follow these steps to re-calibrate the touch screen to correct this issue. NOTE: only perform these steps when necessary. 1. Select "Settings" from the main menu. 2. Then tap "System Setting" followed by "Calibration" to begin the calibration process. 3. During the process, you will be prompt a few times to touch a spot on the screen until process is completed. Be very careful when you touch the spot. You should be able to select the functions now.
Currently, this model only supports WPA/WPA2 security encryption and not WEP. Please check your router settings and make sure that the encryption (security) type is WPA/WPA2. Once you have changed your router encryption, the tablet will easily connect to it. If you require assistance in changing your router security settings, please contact your router's manufacture.
